Molecaten route
Cycling through the woods, on dikes with views of the river IJssel and interrupted by old architecture in Hattem and Vorchten: the Molecaten route is a cycling route of some 40 kilometres which leads you through a varied landscape.

It is a magnificent and varied route with surprisingly many types of water: the river IJssel, the Apeldoorn canal, barge canals, ditches, swirls and a city moat. The Molecaten route is named after the Molecaten Estate. On this Hattem estate of some 150 hectares (approx. 370 acres) a manor house, various farmhouses, a watermill and a restaurant are to be found.

This cycling route can be obtained at the Tourist Information Point, Kerkhofstraat 2, Hattem.
