Kunstgilde Hattem will organize ´Rondje Kunst´ (art festival)
Kunstgilde Hattem will organize a ‘Rondje Kunst’ on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June. Five guild members will open the doors of their studios for lovers of art and live demonstrations. Also the other members of this artist collective will participate in this activity, which is scheduled in the period in which the former ‘Kunstfestival Hattem’ was held.
On both days, between 13.00 and 17.00, artworks made by guild members will be exhibited and demonstrations will be given. All this in art disciplines that are represented within the Hattemer guild. Examples of what can be expected this weekend and can be seen or listened to are: enamelling demonstrations, exploratory painting, making monoprints and eco prints on paper, listening to recorded poems and viewing spatial artworks and photos.
Visitors are welcome in the following studios: Riet Breembroek (Gapersweg 7), Anneke Bagerman (Hessenweg 80), Janine Agteres (Eijerdijk 69), Willeke Klaassen (Eijerdijk 45) and Gertiene Post (Nieuweweg 77) in Hattem. Admission is free.
Added value of the guild
The ‘Kunstgilde Hattem’ was founded in 2012 with the aim of strengthening, complementing and inspiring each other as artists. Until the end of the 18th century guilds represented the interests of various professional groups. In this way knowledge and experience could be exchanged with fellow artists or one could be trained as journeyman or master. ‘Kunstgilde Hattem’ has adopted this old form of cooperation in a contemporary setting.
Art disciplines
Over the years, the artist collective has organised a wide range of activities, ranging from workshops to exhibitions and demonstrations to joint projects. The guild also regularly participates, and has participated in the past, in local or regional events, for instance studio days and festivals.
The number of members usually fluctuates between ten and fifteen. All members live in Hattem and/or have their studios here. The following art disciplines are currently represented within the guild: jewellery and textile art, art photography, visual and spatial art, painting and the spoken word.
